The Prince of Erdey
The Prince of Erdey by Anna-Ester Volozh , Masters Graduate from the Arts University Bournemouth.
Who:
The film was written, produced, directed, and edited by me; I collaborated with over 30 people in order to bring this film to life. Most of them were from Russia and CIS, however some were from Finland, Korea, Canada, Poland, and so on.
What:
‘The Prince of Erdey’ is an independently produced animated short film. Combining western and Japanese styles in character design with highly detailed fantasy backgrounds, the film explores the themes of fatalism and tragedy.

How:
The film is classical animation, composed in Adobe After Effects. The film consists of 117 scenes, however the last one is called ‘scene 159’ – this is due to a large amount of scenes not making it from the initial storyboard to the animation.
Which animated film would you like to have made:
‘Batman: Under the Red Hood’, ‘The Little Mermaid’
