Accord Perdu

Aug 1st, 2013Student Showcase

Accord Perdu by Pierre Antoine Naline, a student at Supinfocom Valenciennes, 3d school of animation.

Who?
I completed this short film alone, in my 3d french school of animation called “Supinfocom”.

What?
A piano tuner guy falls into a piano just before a concert. When the concert begins, he realises he has
taken the place of the artist and decides to play the piano in his way.

Why?
The work of Kuntzel and Deygas inspired me a lot for the motion design, and Mondrian for colours and his sense of image composition. Sylvain Chomet inspired me too for his animation style and posing.

How?
My film was made in 3d with 3dsmax, the compositing with Nuke. There is no 2d in my short, the credits are
made too in 3d. There is no texture, and no light too : just color applied in each poly of all my 3d object.

Next Project
I’m currently worked in my last student film at Supinfocom, with three other students. And I am also working on a music project, I hope to create an album of electronic music composed by myself with old sounds of the eighties. Here is a link to my music work: https://soundcloud.com/graulik

Which animated film would you like to have made?
I would like to have made the opening title sequence of the film “Catch Me If You Can”, because it’s the first short-movie which give me the inspiration to work on animation. I love all the artistic choices in this animation.
