Bye Bye Dandelion by Isabel Garrett, London College of Communication

Who?

Director – Isabel Garrett
Sound Design – Tom Stark & Pete Cudmore

What?

The friendship between an unlikely pair describes a rhythm in attachment and death.

How?

The backgrounds were shot first, separately to the animation. The main character is a hand-made articulated puppet, and she was shot in front of a Greenscreen. The Dandelion is a mixutre of CGI and a real dandelion, again shot over a Greenscreen. It’s a real mix of techniques.

Next Project?

At the moment I’m working on lots of short commercial projects, which are funding my next short film, which will be out in Spring 2016.

Which film do you wish you could have made?

Not strictly a film, but every episode of the Clangers
