Toro
Toro by Lynn Kim Rhode Island School of Design
Who?
Written, directed, animated and edited by Lynn Kim
What?
Toro is a hand drawn and stop motion animation that takes a closer look into the bullfight.
How?
The film was made using a combination of hand drawn techniques (charcoal/graphite, ink, pencil on paper) and stop motion techniques (under-the-camera and object animation). There is also a bit of rotoscoping and a fair amount of compositing to combine particular pieces of animation for certain scenes.

Next Project?
I am currently working on a new animation that is half-documentary, half-experimental. It is about my parents dry-cleaners business in Brooklyn, and will use similar techniques of hand drawn and stop motion methods. Tentatively the title is “Nu-Life” and the synopsis is something to the likes of, “A spiritual examination into the cleaning of clothes”
Which Film do you wish you could have made?
