Steep Hill Ahead

Who?
I was the only person directly involved in the Visual production of Steep Hill Ahead. My good friend Eric Leger worked on the soundtrack and sound effects. Also, it would not be the same film without the mentoring of my teachers, included in the credits.
What?
Steep Hill Ahead is the story of Haroald, a man who being in a hurry to get to the airport, decides to take a shortcut he won’t forget.
Why?
The concepts and characters were inspired from both fictional characters like Mr Bean and characters from my personal environment. I think inspiration lies everywhere, the animation community is huge and has always given me something to chew on. Also, during the last few years, my teachers have really been an inspiration of who I aspire to become as an artist.
How?
The biggest chunk of the film was created using 3D software and the 2D sequences were animated in Adobe After Effects.
Next Project?
I always have ideas waiting, the question is, which one will I push forward. At the moment I am open for hire, working on some smaller sized projects.
Which animated film would you like to have made?
It’s a really hard question because there are so many awesome films. In terms of characters I would have loved to animate, I would say the Lion King…Or maybe…
