Renesens
Renesens by Simon Loisel, 4th year at French 3D animation school Supinfocom. Simon answers a few questions about his short below.
What?
RENESENS is a 3D animation short realised by myself in 6 months. It is about an old man who hears a sound which brings him back to the time when he was a dancing star.
Why?
I was inspired by many movies like En Tus Brazos, Up for the animation of an old man or the Scrat dance in Ice Age.

How?
All props and character were made in Maya and Zbrush, rendered with Arnold.
Next Project?
Actually I’m working on an other 3D animation short I’ve written for my diploma project. It will be a 5 minutes cartoon that deals with dinosaurs I’ll direct it with 4 friends.

Which Animation Do You Wish You Could Have Made?
I love the work of Ari Folman and above all Vals Im Bashir, his beautiful war movie. It brings me a lot. There is no relation with cartoon but I think if there is a film I would have to have made it will be this one.
