Maci și Melci by Alexandra Stanciu
Maci și Melci by Alexandra Stanciu, Vancouver Film School
Who?
My classmates and my teachers helped me mentally and emotionally throughout the whole process of creating this film.
What?
A girl falls asleep in a field of poppies and has a lucid dream about a tiny magical world.
How?
This film was created using pencil and paper from start to finish. Then scanned into ToonBoom and painted frame by frame. Backgrounds were rendered using Photoshop and composited in ToonBoom.
Next Project?
I’m excited to start a collaboration project with my sister. I never know what her mind will come up with next.
Which Film do you wish you could have made?
Paprika. The first time I saw the it I couldn’t take my mind of how beautiful it was, the visuals and the story. After a few more watches I was able to fully appreciate all the thought and effort that went into making it. I would one day like to make a film that feels fresh and inspiring just like Paprika.
