Jam Media’s Little Roy Signs With Egmont Publishing

Multiple award-winning creative production, distribution and licensing 
company JAM Media has signed a global publishing deal (excluding North America) with Egmont Publishing for its latest hit property Little Roy which airs on both CBeebies and CBBC in the UK.

The exclusive publishing programme includes TV tie-ins for both print and eBooks, and 
magazines based on the new hybrid live action/animated series (52 x 14’). Content will focus around Little Roy, along with his cartoon persona of Wonder Roy.

Egmont Publishing’s Silvia Figini, Vice President Global Licensing Management, said: “We are

Jointly commissioned by Controller of CBeebies Kay Benbow and Controller of CBBC Cheryl 
Taylor, the Irish Film Board & Northern Ireland Screen have supported the show since inception with development and now production funding.

The series has already presold to RTE (Ireland), ABC (Australia), NRK (Norway), SVT (Sweden), DR (Denmark), YLE (Finland), VRT (Belgium) and HOP TV (Israel).

Little Roy follows the everyday adventures of five-year-old Roy O’Brien, as his cartoon abilities and enthusiasm cause some form of mayhem. To solve his real-life quandary, Little Roy escapes into his imagination. In a full cartoon sequence, he takes on the persona of ‘Wonder Roy,’ and with his sidekick Finn, he plays out his predicament of the day, finds a solution and applies it to the real world, although it doesn’t always go to plan!
