The Children’s Media Conference is staging a networking and information day, designed to inform companies about the animation and children’s audience.
Key Speaker
We are delighted that Joe Godwin, Director of BBC Children’s, is our keynote speaker. Joe is responsible for all children’s content at CBBC and CBeebies and as such is one of the most important people in UK animation and children’s content. Joe is based at the BBC in Salford so there’s no better way to hear directly about their future plans and opportunities than by attending this day. The day will be led by Greg Childs, Editorial Director CMC.

Tickets
Tickets are free to Greater Manchester companies and freelancers. Someone from your company has to come to two of the three CMC day events on 31 October, 21 November & 12 December to qualify for the free pass. There’s a charge of £60 + VAT for companies from outside the area – who are also welcome.
There’s more The daytime sessions will be followed by Manimation Celebration, a networking event for Manchester’s animation community. The guest speaker will be Academy nominated Barry Purves, who will be looking at the highs, lows and the future of the animation industry. Tickets are free to everyone (including those from outside Greater Manchester) but you must register in advance.

It doesn’t end there The 31 October events are part of Manimation. The CMC has created Manimation for MIDAS, the Manchester’s Investment Agency, as a series of events designed to inform SMEs and freelancers about the key factors for success in working for the children’s and animation audience. Two more daytime and two more evening events will follow on 21 November & 12 December.
