AniJam Day 1

The AniJam at Encounters Film festival has kicked off, we have a total of 16 participants split into 5 teams. They are each competing against each other in a 48hr animation challenge, which culminates at 12pm on Sunday when each of the films will be screened during Sunday afternoon at Encounters.

The teams were briefed on Friday morning and their challenge was simple. Make 1 animated short film in their teams, between 15-90 seconds in length based around a particular theme. This years theme had been staring the teams in the face for the past few weeks and their were a few curious looks on faces when it was announced. The theme for this year has many possible interpretations and simply is JAM. With jam based goodies fuelling their creativity, ideas started flowing and soon the teams were in full flow…
