Minions Spin-off delayed

After the successes of Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment are set to release a spin off movie starring the popular yellow Minions. The movie was originally scheduled for Dec 19 2014, but has been pushed back to July 10, 2015. “Why?” I hear you whimper, well sadly the reason cited is not to achieve artistic excellence but according to a Variety report, so that Universal can “fully exploit the film as a summer tentpole that lends itself to a vast consumer products program, games and theme park promotions.”
