What?
“Hero Detective solves Ella Case” –This is he headline of today’s New Pork Times. In the drafty streets of the metropolis is the wiener detective strolling along, drunk, a poor sausage in the truest sense of the word. This gray city is full of dubious vegetables and depressing happenings. Maybe god can give our hopeless detective some answers. But in the church, he will find more than he ever expected…

Why & How?
It all started with a little exercise we had to do within our studies at the filmakademie. Tobi had this idea of a sausage detective so we put on a hat and a coat on a wiener and i tried animating it. It was my first time, animating with stopmotion. I felt, it was similar to traditional animating but at some points quite different. We combined the animations with Tobi’s great background paintings and Robin was setting the light and camera for our
characters on the bluescreen. We really liked the outcome so we decided to make a real project out of it. We just had about three weeks for making the movie and it was really fun seeing the sausage and the world it is living in, coming to life, because in the end, it is just a dumb wiener and some vegetables^^
