What?

A short animated film about a young orchestra conductor struggling to control his own musical score.

How?

This film was a mix of digital animation (Photoshop/After Effects) with traditional hand-drawn ink assets that were composed together.

Next Project?

I’m working with an Animation studio in Baltimore right now, which pulls in a very wide range of projects to work on, some very creative, some very commercial so it’s good experience all around. Personal work-wise I’ve been very into crowds lately. Herd theory. Picking an individual out of a crowd, and watching an individual get lost in the movements of a giant mass of people. I’ve been making a lot of motion tests with these ideas, things are pretty scattered as of late, but the research is fascinating.

Darkness Light Darkness – Jan Svankmajer
