Maniac

Maniac by Cyril Bossmann, animation student at Supinfocom Valenciennes

Who?
This is a personal movie, done at Supinfocom Valenciennes during 6 months

What?
The story is about a cleanliness freak who try to catch a pigeon feather which got into his house.

Why?
My major inspirations for this movie was “Presto” from Pixar and the short-movie “Salesman Pete”. I really like “pose to pose” animation from movies as “Cloudy Chance of Meatball”, or “Hotel Transylvania”.

How?
The 3D part was done with 3DSMax, compositing with Nuke, sound with Reaper and editing with AviD. I also used Photoshop for different things in the movie.
I tried to obtain a 2D aspect, and not an entirely 3D realistic movie.

Next Project?
I’m currently working on a new short-movie with four people at Supinfocom, it is a longer and way more ambitious project named “Beast”.

Which animated film would you like to have made?
Oh there’s a lot of movies I love! I’m a big fan of How to train your Dragon, Toy Story, Iron Giant, Ghost in The Shell, Colorful, Princess Mononoke, and more!
