Creative Skillset, Frank Gladstone and Lupus Films are coming together to create an intensive 4 week programme (Mon-Fri, 1st -26th July) which will be 100% funded by Creative Skillset.

The aim of the intensive 4 week course on Visual storyboarding for animation is to train experienced boarders in the story-telling and directing skills needed to run the king of board-led shows for 8-12 year olds which are usually associated with American networks.

The course tutor will be Frank Gladstone who during his long career in animation has developed programs and taught storyboarding for Disney, Dreamworks and Aardman Animation.

Applicants will have at least 2 years experience in the animation industry, will a basic knowledge of Toon Boom’s Storyboard pro and be comfortable working on a Cintiq. There are no fees payable for the programme as it is 100% subsidised by Creative Skillset.

The Course will take place at Lupus Films studio, 339 Upper Street, London N1 OPB, interested applicants should email a 2-3 page storyboard as a PDF document along with a CV and cover letter explaing why this course is important for your career development to info [at] lupusfilms [dot] com by Monday 10th June.

Story Structure and the Visual Narrative

Creative Skillset, Frank Gladstone and Lupus Films are also offering a One-day masterclass on either the 6th or 13th July on Storyboarding in Animation. The masterclass will focus on the basic elements of narrative structure and the building blocks of cinematic language.
