The Snowman

Its a staple in the festive period diet, no not the turkey, but the animated classic “The Snowman”. Originally aired in 1982 and based on the story by Raymond Briggs the short story has consistently found its place in the festive television calendar.

Now 30 years on Channel Four has decided that as part of the channels 30th year celebrations it is time the “freshen” up the animation. The revamp is set to add a snowdog to the story and also get rid of the original “Walking in the Air” sound track. Many of the original production team will be working on the new production which is set to cost £2million
