Hopster Children’s app scoops Kidscreen Award
Hopster, the UK’s favourite TV and learning app, has beaten tough competition to win the coveted Best Streaming Video Platform title at the 2016 Kidscreen Awards.
The startup who operates with 26 staff in Bermondsey, South London, won in the category that included media giant Nickelodeon Digital’s, Nick Jr. The awards take place in Miami annually and celebrate the year’s best work in kids television programming and broadcasting and digital media.
On winning, Hopster Founder and CEO, Nick Walters said: “Kidscreen is probably the year’s most important kids media industry get together and that we won its award is just amazing. It’s great recognition for everything we’ve done over the last year and will stand us in good stead for future growth. We’re really excited to make Hopster to even bigger and better in 2016.”
This latest win at Kidscreen, awarded jointly with PlayKids, follows Hopster being named as one of the App Store’s Best Apps of 2015 and 2014, and have ranked highest grossing app in the Kids category in 20 countries.
