Komixx to bring hit shows Dog Loves Books and Stanley to MIPCOM 2016
UK and LA based independent media producer and rights owner, today announce their slate of shows for MIPJUNIOR in October. The family entertainment specialist will be bringing their new animations Dog Love Books and Stanley, both of which have been adapted from book series. This new slate demonstrates Komixx’s commitment to producing top-quality animation, cementing their reputation as one of the best industry players selecting and developing IP for the children and young adult market.
Dog Loves Books, an animation series based on Louise Yates’ award winning books, follows the story of bookshop owner Dog and best friend Pug. Over 52 x 7 minute episodes, we join Dog and Pug on amazing adventures, as their beloved books sweep them away into a world of imagination where there are no limits. This popular series, aimed at the 4-6 year old age range, already has commitment from CBeebies as their primary broadcaster and Finnish broadcaster YLE, and is looking to build on this success to further increase its reach.
Adapted from the stylish book series by author and illustrator William Bee, Stanley chronicles the escapades of Stanley the hard-working hamster and his furry friends, who help him overcome challenges and get through his busy days. Ian Bilbey, who writes under the name William Bee, has been brought on as art director to bring Stanley to life and deliver the loveable animated series for pre-school children, which will go into production in 2017 at Komixx’s studio in Manchester.
