About the win Joseph said:

I’m so pleased to have won the pitching competition here at VAF as this region is home to most of my animation inspirations. Along with my production manager Francesca Carr, we were presenting my new animated film ‘Salvation Has No Name’ which is a fifteen minute cinematic folktale about xenophobia and faith. We’ve made so many positive connections as a result of the pitch and hope to begin working with international collaborators to make the film a reality.
