Chris Walsh’s The Shutterbug Man available online
The Shutterbug Man is a Canadian short stop motion horror film. Its thousands of frames were created one click at a time, and it features one-of-a-kind, hand made sets, props, and puppets. It also features a highly original story, that introduces audiences to a (miniature!) addition to the ranks of cinematic ghouls- THE SHUTTERBUG MAN. He wants nothing more than to take your picture.
The film is directed by Chris Walsh a filmmaker who specializes in the strange art of stop motion animation. His numerous short films have been screened in festivals internationally. He is also a college professor, and instructs students in animation and film history, stop motion animation, and horror cinema. The film has already received acclaim in the horror circuit and now after two years in production director Chris Walsh is making the film available via film festivals and an online store.
“Many filmmakers struggle to do in ninety minutes what Chris Walsh does in four and a half. The Shutterbug Man delivers the nasty, efficient shocks of a well-told horror tale, even as it turns its grimy lens on the very process of conjuring bogeymen from the shadows. It’s a beautifully shot, meticulously handcrafted nightmare.” – APRIL SNELLINGS, RUE MORGUE MAGAZINE
