CBeebies goes Chop Chop
News coming through via C21Media reports that BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) and BBC preschool channel CBeebies have commissioned a new anthropomorphic kids series to air globally.
Animated preschool series Chop Chop! (working title) follows the adventures of the Squirrel Club, a group of diverse animals with a variety of personalities.
The 52×7’ series is created and produced by Studio AKA with Grant Orchard directing, Janine Murphy producing and Sue Goffe executive producing, alongside Henrietta Hurford-Jones for BBCWW and Jackie Edwards for CBeebies UK.
It is expected to launch in autumn 2014 across the CBeebies channels internationally. BBCWW will hold commercial rights to the series, including global channel broadcast, distribution and merchandising.
