Cartoon Network and Comedy Central present at KLIK! in full glory

Amsterdam Animation Festival collaborates with Cartoon Network and Comedy Central and present three programs that represent the best and newest animation that both have to offer. On November 15th and 16th KLIK! will be all about these two cartoon giants for a few dazzling hours. A treat for cartoon lovers, fans of cartoon series and nostalgia.

If you like cartoons, you’ll like KLIK!’s program this year. Collaborating with Cartoon Network, KLIK! presents two programs with the best and newest that comes from Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network: Next Generation demonstrates the newest generation of shows that at the same time amuses kids as adults. KLIK! treats her audience at shows with Cartoon Network-like humor as Regular Show, Clarence, Tome of the Unknown and the European premier of Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa. Through a special live connection with the Cartoon Network studio’s in Los Angeles, the audience gets the chance to ask questions to director from Uncle Grandpa Pete Browngardt.

An opportunity not to be missed for every Cartoon Network fan is the program Cartoon Network: The Originals. At last the audience gets the chance to see their most favorite Cartoon Network series on the big screen. The trendsetting role that Cartoon Network embodies in the world of television animation, started in the nineties with the success of series like The Powerpuff Girls and Johnny Bravo. In this program these two classic series are screened, next to golden oldies Cow and Chicken, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Edd, Ed n Eddy and Dexter’s Laboratory. As a bonus the audience can ask their most pressing questions to Paul Rudish, director, storyboarder, writer and art director of Dexter’s Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls.

KLIK! and Comedy Central share a common vision upon animation for adults. After the giant success of last year, KLIK! returns with the program Comedy Central: Battle of the Fans. KLIK! and Comedy Central call out to all South Park, Family Guy and Futurama fans to battle together against each other. Which fan base laughs the hardest at their series’ running gags?
