Trailer’s Galore

Just like buses you wait ages for them to come along, and then two come at once. We have a two trailer treat for you with two of this years upcoming animated features providing a double whammy in recent days.

Yesterday saw Tim Burtons upcoming Frankenweenie feature finally get a trailer…

…Frankenweenie is an upcoming 3D black-and-white stop motion-animated film, directed by Tim Burton, and it is a remake of the Burton’s 1984 short film of the same name. Like the 1984 version, it is a parody of and a homage to the 1931 film Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley’s book of the same name. In the film, a boy named Victor loses his dog and uses the power of science to bring it back to life.

Today was the turn of Paranorman to grab peoples attention, releasing a new trailer for the Laika film due out in September.

Again like Frankenweenie, Paranorman is a 3D stop-motion feature. The film see small New England town of Blithe Hollow comes under siege by the undead. Only a misunderstood local boy Norman Babcock, who has the ability to speak with the dead, is able to prevent the destruction of his town from a centuries-old witch’s curse. He’ll also have to take on ghosts, witches, zombies and worst of all, the moronic grown-ups. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
