Aardman Launches Animate It App!

Aardman Animations have launched a Animate It! app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod, allowing users to create stop-motion films on the move. The trailer video below shows off what you can do with the app and is all shot using the app itself. The app is a mobile version of Aardman’s piece of software Animate It, which the studio developed in partnership with Kudlian Software, and is available now from the app store, for the bargain price of £1.99.

The app has numerous easy to use features which allow users to edit and watch your animation whilst making it, a time lapse feature and variable frame rates to achieve a smooth animation style. Users can copy, paste and even reverse sequences and edit by deleting and reordering frames. Along with the option to export your animation files in HD so you can share them with the world.
