From The Top by Sarah Mundy, animation student UWE Bristol.
Who?
I created the film from scratch, writing, directing etc. I have a good friend called Kiran Dhillon who did help me film the project, as I was the dancer within the film.
What?
The synopsis of the film is a teddy bear that has a dream to become a dancer. He watches television and sees a dancer on the tv. The dancer invites the bear through the tv to dance.
Why?
After watching Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly, the Worry Song within the film really inspired me to create similar piece.
How?
This was done with 2D drawings, live action and some motion graphics. Edited on Final Cut Pro.
Next Project?
As I am now studying at UWE, I will be creating little shorts throughout my time here.
Which Animated Film do you wish you could have made?
I would have loved to have worked on Toy Story and Bugs Life from Pixar/Disney, as these were the films I grew up on. They created my career plan and the path I want to follow.
