Aftermath

Aftermath by Maayan Erlich, a 3rd year student at Bezalel art academy (Israel).

What?
“Aftermath” is a very short story of Lana, a woman trying to let go of her past. In a rural house in the 50’s she lives alone, burdened by her marriage/visions of her late husband she feels so trapped she desperately trys to remove her ring and eventually succeeds but was it the right decision?

Inspiration
My favorite part in a production is looking for Art ideas, different periods or ages. I like to tackle a period, this time i chose the 50s, and base both the art on 50s art, and the animation on 50’s animation.

My favorite animator is Alex Grigg and love his newest short movie- “Phantom Limb”

How?
The film was made in 2D classic animation, looking towards finer lines and color combinations.

Next Project?
My next movie will be my final project in the academy, it will be an extension of the film submitted but in a different time period.
