    CGI has yet to harness that weird incandescent richness found in stop-motion pieces like this. I can’t even really put my finger on what specifically sets it apart, it’s something like the organic imperfections in the materials or the forced abstract inventiveness and tenderness of the process. Either way, I always have time for animations like this one.
