An abstracted animated documentary based off of Nick LeDonne’s personal struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts after a near attempted hanging in November 2014. His feelings of depression are personified through a dark luring fog and a loving mother desperately trying to keep her son alive.

Directors Notes

I made HANGING in 2016 after wanting to turn a negative situation into a positive for someone else. In 2014 I had a near suicide attempt hence the true story subject of HANGING. Since the film has been released it has become a powerful tool in raising awareness for suicide and opening the conversation on depression.
