Created for TV channel Arte, Chronemics was originally broadcast as a series of 14-separate vignettes to accompany Arte’s short film festival The Shortest Day. Now together as a full short the pieces represents a play between light and dark; how one may hate the other resulting in a never-ending cyclical conflict fought out day-after-day.
Light fears Dark.
Dark resents Light.
Always at odds.
Always in conflict.
Pushing borders.
Losing ground.
Never ending.
But what is one without the other?
The stronger the light, the darker the shadow.
