Mackinnon & Saunders and Komixx create new 2d animation house

Puppet makers and animation producers Mackinnon & Saunders and entertainment owner and producer Komixx Entertainment are opening a new joint venture 2d animation studio in Manchester called Mackinnon & Saunders Digital.

The new company is already working on the preproduction of its first TV series and will create jobs for over forty people.

Company director Peter Saunders commented: “Komixx Entertainment is a rising star in the world of multi-media children’s entertainment and we have been very impressed by their dynamic approach to the development of children and family entertainment. We enjoyed an excellent relationship working with them on Toby’s Travelling Circus, and we’re delighted to be able to bring our production skills and experience to this exciting new business venture.”
