Chomet Heading Back To The Big Screen

Sylvain Chomet the director behind the oscar nominated “Triplets of Belleville” is working on a prequel to the 2004 film according to screen daily. Chomet who has also received oscar nominations for “The Old Lady and the Pigeons” in 1997 and “The Illusionist” in 2011, has once again teamed up with Didier Brummer’s Les Armateurs for the project entitled “Swing Popa Swing”.

The film will visit the early days of the singing triplet trio, going back to their childhood, portraying the relationship with their father whom wanted the girls to focus on medicine rather than music. Chomet has already written the films synopsis and outlined a few new characters and is expected to deliver the script this summer.
