A Dangerous Journey
A Dangerous Journey by Animage Films
A Dangerous Journey is an animated film (part funded by Comic Relief) that warns young African women of the dangers of being coerced and tricked into prostitution. Narrated by two survivors of sex trafficking, the film depicts these harrowing human experiences with compelling accuracy, and describes the various techniques of coercion used by traffickers, which include Juju scare tactics perpetrated by Native Doctors.
Animage Films is an award-winning production company, which in the past seven years has been creating a growing body of work exposing the magnitude of what are essentially global hate crimes against women and girls. The films strive to inform and alert potential victims as well as the media and the general public. Previous campaigns such as Eva Goes to Foreign and Two Little Girls achieved significant results and won multiple awards.
Now more than ever, it’s important to raise awareness to these subjects, and warn young women who are in danger of becoming the next victims of the sex trade.
