AniJam is a creative challenge brought to you by Show Me The Animation, Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival & WONKY. Animators and artists are challenged to create a short film in just 48 hours. 48hrs to create an animation from start to finish – Sound Crazy? Well it probably is, buy hey that’s the whole fun of it….
In what is now our fourth AniJam with Encounters Film Festival we had six teams sign up ready to take the challenge. Beginning at 12 noon on Friday after a short briefing our teams had just 48 hours to create a short film from scratch based around this years theme, ENCOUNTER, with the films due in 48 hours later on Sunday.
Each year we are amazed at the the talent and creativity displayed by the participating teams and we had 4 teams successfully finish the challenge this year and each one blew us away with what they managed to produce in just 48 hours. To see how the AniJam unfolded have a look at the #AniJam tag on twitter, where one team even live streamed some of their efforts!
You can now help us decide an overall winner and the winning team will receive passes to this years Encounters Film Festival. The winning film will be decided based on a combination of an audience vote and judges votes. The audience vote will count as one vote and each judge will also have one vote to decide a winner. You can view the films below and vote for your favourite by using the form at the bottom of the page. Voting will be open until 14th August and will be announced at our next animation night on 15th August, where all the films will be screened.
Every film will also be screened on the big screen in Millenium Square (Details TBC), whilst the winning film will be screened at Encounters Film Festival.
